Just one release today, Takahashi’s 10th PB Watashi:

Takahashi Ai – Watashi, the 10th PB by Takahashi, and if you see the pictures you can tell why they favor her:

Not the best of quality but they are the previews that leaked out some days before the release. As you can tell from the first two pictures they decided to emphasize her “maturity” a bit more than usual, which is of course understandable most PB’s have photos such as those (some others more).

But the other three previews remind us that even though she is mature she is still the Takahashi we all know, the cute and funny Takahashi. They did a great job in the PB and I expect to hear that it sold well because she is already the popular member of Morning Musume and the most recognizable.

I would recommend it to her fans and Morning Musume fans in general (not so much for the under-16 fans), this PB does a good job of showing Takahashi’s mature side. I provided a link to YesAsia for those interested in buying (I was going to put CDJapan as well but it lists it as “Out of Print”), please support Takahashi!

    “not so much for the under-18 fans for obvious reasons” Don’t you mean under 12?

    Just curious about those obvious reasons. As, she’s not performing any sexual acts, is not posing in any suggestive manners other than what your own fantasy makes of it, is not dressed less than most women you would find at the local swimming pool.

    A reason that I could think of is that she might be showing a “suggestive face” in some pictures :P But does that even qualify as something that should be exclusively for people over 18?

    On a sort of side note, there was one picture in kamei eri’s “DAYS” PB that i thought was inappropriate though. Where she’s sitting on the edge of the pool (i think) with one leg up. Picture taken from below. When i first saw it i was thinking “they shouldn’t have put this one in” For some reason it ruined the rest of the pictures in the PB for me. And the way she had her face in that pic only made that feeling worse xD

      I’m not referring to any positions as adult, and I didn’t mean it to be taken the wrong way. And the “not so much for under-18 fans” comment is just that, a comment. I was going to put 16, but for some reason I put 18 (I’ll have to edit it later), the photos are not at all exclusive to 18 year old, and yes there are people at the beach who look similar.

      12 is kind of a stretch, but it is only Ai-chan posing and nothing worse so I guess you would be correct. The only problem I could see would come from other people who are not used to seeing photobooks about idols, that is what I think might have made me put the 18 year old thing, non-H!P fans (and all people not used to PBs) might see the pictures and take it the wrong way, getting the wrong image about idols such as Aichan and Kamechan, instead of the real image fans like us have after seeing them for so long having fun and performing songs along with everyone.

      The comment wasn’t meant to be taken that seriously. Yes she does have suggestive faces but most of the images in the PB are just images no more harmful than most people would see in a beach (even local waterparks). It’s Aichan, we all know she doesn’t have that image. Sorry if it suggested something else, I’ll edit that part with 16, thanks for the response though ^_^

        hahaha.. sorry if i sounded too serious. :P I was making a suggestion to trigger some kind of response.

        As for the “under 12″ notion, i said it because it’d probably be the age suggested for such books in the country where i live (the Netherlands). An extreme example of lenient ratings over here is the movie “Lust, Caution” which usually is rated “21 and over” (even including deletion of some very explicit scenes in some countries), but was rated “16 and over” (director’s cut) instead over here.

        Anyway, have you ever had the feeling that a PB contained a pic that you thought shouldn’t have been in there? Like the Kamei Eri example i gave in my case? I guess it probably depends on the photographer but I feel that most PBs are nice collections of uncommon pictures of celebrities featured in such a book.

          Yeah, it mostly depends where you live too, over here that movie would probably be 18+.

          There is always a feeling of a picture that somehow doesn’t fit, but it also depends on the person. There is a picture of Takahashi doing a split in a bikini, for example, which somehow felt like it shouldn’t be there (I’m not sure which PB it was from).

          I agree with you that most PB’s are nice collections of pictures, and they are also a chance to see the idol doing something else other than singing or acting. The type of pictures in the PB also depend on the photographer, and I’m glad they still showed Aichan’s cute side, for example in the picture of her eating the donut.
