Berryz Koubou is having a fanclub tour in honor of their 7th year anniversary titled “Berryz Koubou Presents 7th Year Anniversary Fan Club Tour in Izu.”
Hearing this news first somewhat surprised me, most people usually celebrate their 1st year anniversaries and then again every 5 years. (So 5th, 10th, 15th etc.) So hearing that they wanted to do a fan club event for 7 years I thought was a little bit strange but if you look a little closer at the event information it starts making sense.
First off, Berryz Koubou has 7 members, they’re celebrating 7 years and the event date will be held 7 days before their actual debut date and that makes 777. Since 777 is said to be a lucky combination they’re probably hoping that 2011 is going to be a good year for them.
In my opinion this all comes together perfectly for both C-ute and Berryz Koubou fans since C-ute is holding a fan club event in Hawaii during March and if they had decided to do Berryz Koubou’s event the day they debuted (March 7) then fans of both groups might miss the opportunity of attending both events. (C-ute’s event date hasn’t been released yet but they’re both in the same month and it’d be hard to save money for both events if they were a few days apart.)
Anyways, it doesn’t say what kind of activities will be done with the members but the event will be held in Izu which doesn’t seem to hold any significant to the theme 7. Regardless of that spending a day with Berryz Koubou should be fun enough.
The fan club event date is 2/26/2011 – 2/27/2011.
