The PV for the second A-side from Buono’s 13th single titled DEEP MIND has been released.
For the most part the PV is among the best I have seen from Buono, since it has an incredible theme that matches the dark sound of the song perfectly. It’s probably among their simplest releases as well since there are only four different shots in the PV, but I’m really glad they didn’t try and go overboard with the shots or try to add a story since it’s definitely one of their best thanks to that.
The PV consists of the dance shot and three solo shots of each member singing, and that’s mostly it apart from a few different angles of the dance shot going side to side and shots of the band members. That along with a dark tone effect they used which only showed a few colors (Airi’s earrings, the guitar, etc), the dark industrial look of the stage with the beams thrown around the stage, as well as the general sound of the song simply completed the PV into a perfect release for me.
I’m not surprised to see that the PV is so dark, since it is after all the main theme song for a horror movie, and thanks to that we get a great contrast of sounds in this release. Both of the releases are dark, at least to some degree, like Hatsukoi CIDER having all dark and grey backgrounds with the only colors being the pink suits the members are wearing, so it seems like this single is even more adapted to the movie giving Buono a very cool dark look.
The PV is simple but the shots really match up well thanks to the use of angles and lights, so I highly encourage everyone to check it out since it’s a great PV for this release. It might be only for this release but I would love to see this kind of look and style on Buono once again in the future, so I hope that happens.
Hopefully everyone already has their copy of the single reserved since this is shaping up to be an amazing release!
