Yajima Maimi & Suzuki Airi Acoustic Live Event Announced

Yajima Maimi and Suzuki Airi will be holding an Acoustic Live Event.

I’m wasn’t sure what “acoustic” meant so I searched around and from what I found it means that their performance won’t have an electro-pop sound to it. So my guess is they’re music at this performance will be a lot like Junjun and Linlin’s cover of Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou? from 10 My Me, where the sound relies more on guitar.

Even though I’m not 100% sure that’s what it means I’m looking forward to this since no one has really done that before and if they’re doing C-ute songs then the acoustic version will be really interesting. Also if they were covering other group songs too I think that would be interesting too.

Okai Chisato, Hagiwara Mai and Nakajima Saki will be starring in March and I’m sure they’re busy with practices for that so I’m assuming that’s the reason this acoustic event will be hosted by Airi and Maimi.

Regardless of the 3 missing members I’m looking forward to this since it’s something new and hopefully many attend this event.

This event will be held at the Yokohama BLITZ on 3/3.

Acoustic basically is just an instrument and their voices. Like an acoustic guitar or a piano. I’m really, really interested to hear what their songs will sound like when it’s striped down.

That sound interesting. Acoustic should really let their vocals shine :)

Maybe I can help with this!  When I think of acoustic, I think of softer sounding instruments and ones that aren’t amplified by electronics or heavy bass.  They also don’t rely on a drumkit but softer sounding drums like bongos and congas.  They rely on piano, acoustic guitars and the like. :)  Hope this helps you out and I think that hearing Airi particularly sing an acoustic set would be amazing.  She’s really starting to grow on me as of late so I hope to hear some recordings of these sessions soon.

A good example of an acoustic set would be something from MTV’s Unplugged shows from the 90′s.  They should be up on youtube.
