The PV for Kikkawa Yuu’s 3rd single titled Konna Watashi de Yokattara has been released.
The single was released yesterday but almost no one had seen the full PV since Universal usually only uploads half of the PV in order to encourage everyone to buy their own and see it. Despite that I’m glad to see that fans are uploading the PV online since it helps anyone else who hasn’t decided whether or not to get the single, or anyone who just wants to see how the PV looks.
Like I mentioned yesterday, I liked the sound of the single since it had a certain hook to it during the chorus, and while I did mention that the rest of the song sounded a bit generic I was very wrong since I just listened to the full song and I love every second of it. Naturally, a good song must have a great PV, so my expectations were high and I wasn’t disappointed since the PV has a simple but interesting and impressive theme.
For the most part the PV has quite a lot of scenes, starting by the normal close-up, the half dance shot, the dance shot with two other Kikkas, the dance shot in the office cubicles, the puppet show, etc. Every single shot has some kind of theme that stands out in it’s own, making the PV very interesting.
My favorite shots would definitely have to be the one where she’s singing with the puppets since it seems like a cute addition apart from giving her a great way to show her acting skills since she didn’t smile once during those shots. I also loved the many dance shots, especially the one with the cubicles, since it showed off the dance well, apart from showing off some very interesting Kikka clones which all had their own slightly different movements (which means that Kikka did dance three times in the same area, they didn’t repeat the image only).
Overall this PV is amazing, and well among my favorite Kikka PVs (if not my favorite), and it’s mainly due to the great song with many catchy hooks along with the interesting scenes used in the PV. They are miles ahead of the others which simply had a few natural scenes of her in a house.
I recommend everyone check it out since Universal is very strict and will probably take it down soon, but we’ll try and add a few different alternate links.
The single was released on 12/28.
Thanks Henriette for the link!
