Happy New Year 2012 from H!SN!
Since New Year’s day is around a day or so away (depending on where you live) I wanted to combine the usual “Happy New Year” post into this one.
From us at H!SN have a great 2012, and like always we wish the best for every group and artist in Hello! Project during this year. A ton of stuff happened this past year and it was an interesting year for H!P since there were a lot of changes for all groups in some way.
S/mileage had two of it’s original members graduate, but gained 4 new members for a total of 6. Momusu gained 8 new members through the Kyuukies and Juukies, but also went through the graduation of one of the best Momusu leaders, Takahashi Ai, a few months ago. Mano has focused more on acting but released some solid songs, while Kikka who debuted as a soloist has seen her popularity and promotion increase each day. Berryz and C-ute have remained pretty much the same but focused on a joint promotion for a movie, single, tour, etc.
It’s hard to summarize an entire year in a paragraph, but basically that’s all of the big changes towards H!P that we have experienced this past year. There were ups and downs but like always H!P has managed to transform and give fans a new taste of music through it’s various groups and constantly changing genres. Some fans have graduated along with their favorite idols but many new ones have also arrived thanks to the unique and fun personalities from the new S/mileage and Momusu members.
Fans are what makes H!P into what it is today, and while there were many graduations UFA has given us so much through the dozens of releases they make as well as the many fun appearances they do on radio, TV, Ustream, etc. Sure, we will probably see more members graduate next year, and perhaps we will more new members join in some way, but what I am sure of is that there will continue to be many impressive and interesting releases by each group.
Like always I ask that you continue to support H!P next year as much as possible. Momusu, Berryz, C-ute, Mano, S/mileage, Kikka, H!P Eggs, as well as all graduates and UFA members, thank you for such a great year of releases, we look forward to finding out what kind of releases will come in 2012!
Site: Not much to report on this week since shortly after Christmas day I caught a really bad cold that forced me to stay in bed for most of the week, and with a few personal things to take care of (mostly visiting family) there is still some work to do before I can say that the Profile section is complete.
Despite that I have made it a goal to have the page done this weekend, basically in the first day of 2012, and with luck I should be able to do it since I’m completely cured.
So far I haven’t read of any problems with the new updates, which is perfect since the updates have enhanced the site into what I originally planned it to be. The lightbox plugin for the images seems to work perfectly and it really makes seeing images a lot easier for anyone who wants to see a bigger picture. The header adds a nice change of variety to the site, and with luck I should be able to keep it easily updated in the next few months. The lazy load plugin also seems to have made some pages load a bit faster, most notably the image heavy posts like profile pictures, so in whole the site has improved considerably, but if you have any problems please let us know so we can fix them!
Apart from that there isn’t much else to say, but please look forward to H!SN this coming year!
Social: 621 followers on Twitter and 492 fans on Facebook, and like every week a big thank you to everyone.
Like I promised last week I have increased posting on the Facebook page and from what I can tell the extra posts seems to have been well received. Since the bulk of the news happens at certain times of the day and not regularly spread out it’s somewhat hard to avoid having to do about 8 posts within 5 minutes, but hopefully everyone can understand in case they are wondering why there are so many updates only about once each day.
Whenever there is something interesting to post I will do so, although I still encourage anyone who finds a news article about a member doing a promotion, a new CM featuring a member, or any other kind of stuff that didn’t make it to the front page of the site to post it on the Facebook page to share it with everyone.
Thank you again to everyone who follows the site, our Twitter account, as well as the Facebook page!
Polls:

The winner for this poll was Sayashi Riho with 415 votes (38%), congratulations Riho! Tsugunaga Momoko came in second with 361 votes (33%), and Sugaya Risako came in third with 315 votes (29%).
There was a total of 1,091 votes for this poll.
Congratulations Riho!
From the start it was easy to see that all three members were equally strong when it comes to polls, and not surprisingly the results for this poll were very close in comparison to other more recent weeks. Riho did win, but not by that much of a large margin since Momo managed to get only about 50 votes less, with Risako coming in third with another 50 vote difference between her and 2nd place.
I’m actually surprised to see that they managed to end up that close since I thought that Riho would have some kind of advantage, but I’m glad to see that they ended up in an almost equal difference in votes since it shows how much fans support their favorite members.
Good luck to Momo and Risako on their next polls but congratulations to Riho!
For the next poll it’s Ikuta Erina, Tokunaga Chinami, and Katsuta Rina, and while Rina might have a slight disadvantage due to her being a relatively newcomer it seems like Erina and Chii might give us an interesting poll to follow since they seem like the most likely to place for 1st place. I hope everyone votes for their favorite!
Also, another year has passed by and like always it’s time for the yearly poll results!
I will calculate the total votes for each member during 2011 and do a post where everyone can check out the results. I’m not sure exactly when it will be up since it does take a large amount of time but probably in about a week or so it should be done, so please look forward to it!
To make it easier for fans I will provide the direct link to the H!P poll HERE.
Please vote!
Shuukan Hello: I had originally planned on showing only one special each month for Mechaike, and since I have posted all of the parts already I don’t really think I could show off another special without having to complete it during the next month. The other two specials each have an extra show where a few unreleased bonus footage clips are released, but unfortunately the field trip doesn’t seem to have one.
Despite that I wanted to show off another Mechaike video which will soon be up. I can’t find it on Youtube so I will upload it and hopefully everyone can check it out before it’s taken down since it’s pretty funny, even though it might not be related to the field trip.
It’s a small clip of Momusu as the Okajo Chorus club where they sing, along with Okamura, “original” songs to Tsunku. It’s relatively short at around 16 minutes but it’s well worth a look for anyone who hasn’t watched it since it’s fun to see just how they react to Tsunku’s comments.
Hopefully everyone enjoys the show!
