A PV for Kikkawa Yuu’s 3rd single’s B-side titled Early Snow has been released.
Since the PV was uploaded without any previous notice, I was very surprised to see that the B-side for the single is getting a PV which is quite unusual, but I’m pleasantly surprised since the PV features a variety of amazing shots of Kikka singing or just posing for the camera and doing various things, which is how I like PVs for soloists to be instead of the regular dance shot/close-up versions.
The PV features various shots, but there are mainly a lot of cute scenes such as the one at the beginning where Kikka wears a red nose, probably imitating Rudolph, or the one of Kikka sitting on the floor with candles all around her where she smiles to the camera or sings while holding a candle, as well as some outside shots, but the main scene is the one of Kikka singing which is understandable, even though I would have liked them to show more of the outside shots.
Apart from that, the song is really slow and cute at the same time and relates perfectly to the PV and the release since there’s a mention of December in the lyrics, the allusion to Rudolph in the PV as well as the snow that pours near the end during all of the scenes, and I really admire how they pulled it together to do a very classic PV for the B-side that is nonetheless really great.
Hopefully this will encourage those who didn’t reserve a copy yet to do so to support Kikka!
The release date is set for 12/28.
