Navigate DVD Cover
The DVD and Blu-ray for Kumai Yurina and Suzuki Airi’s movie Ousama Game have been announced.
Here is the summary of the movie:
A live action horror film based on the hit cell phone novel “Osama Game (Ousama Game)” comes out on DVD. Stars Yurina Kumai (Berryz Kobo) and Airi Suzuki (Cute). Directed by Norio Tsuruta. Plot: One night, Chiemi Honda and her childhood friend Nobuaki Kanazawa receive an email from Osama (King) who they do not know. The subject of this email is “Osama Game (King Game).” The email states that if the recipient does not complete the king’s order within 24 hours then they will be punished. Since that first email, Chiemi’s classmates all receive the email from the King. At first, students obey the order for fun, but the orders gradually become worse. And finally, two classmates who do not follow the orders are punished. After that, classmates start to disappear in sequence. . .

There will be two versions: a regular DVD version with a postcard, and a premium DVD+Blu-ray edition with a bonus DVD with 120 minutes of extra footage (making-of, interview, event footage, and more) and an 8 page PB.
When the movie was announced a while ago it seemed to have a very interesting theme, and seeing all of the pictures and promotion for it made many really want to see it. Unfortunately we had to wait a lot of time for the movie and even though we had a Navigate DVD it was a long wait, thankfully that wait is over and anyone can reserve their copy to get it first once it’s released.
It seems they went for a more unique release with a DVD and a blu-ray/DVD combo, which gives those who buy the premium a more complete package with a lot of extras, but thankfully they decided to release the normal version as well since it’s cheaper and easier to get for those who simply want to see the movie.
We haven’t seen covers for the DVD or Blu-ray package, but it will probably look like the Navigate DVD cover without the “Navigate” Katakana.
We’ll update once the covers or more info have been released, but I highly encourage everyone interested in watching the movie to reserve a copy of their own.
The release date is set for 6/6.
