Facebook Audition: The e-mails for those who passed to the 2nd round of the Facebook auditions have been sent!
It took longer than expected to narrow down the choices since everyone seemed perfectly qualified to be part of the Facebook H!SN team, in fact I had in mind to find only three that interested me but after going through all of them it was hard to choose just three. I had to go over and over the applications to narrow down the choices and after a few days I narrowed down the choices from 20 to only 6.
I have already sent emails to those who didn’t make it as well, but I would like to expand a bit on what I was looking for:
- If you stood out in a unique way (Showing me that you knew H!P well, eagerly telling us how much you like H!P, etc)
- If you had energy and enthusiasm
- If you had confidence in yourself (most important thing I focused on, if you don’t think you can do a good job then there isn’t much I can do to help)
- If you knew how to write well (mostly focused on grammar)
- If you had the time to post
Those were just some of the things I focused on, but I was very surprised since there were some people that seemed overqualified with a vast knowledge of H!P, good writing skills, very eager to help out, etc. Sadly there can only be a few winners so I had to go over them and eliminate those who didn’t fit with what we were looking for at this time. I still encourage those who didn’t make it to help out by posting from their own profiles to the H!SN Facebook page when you find something you would like to share with everyone else.
Something that many might be wondering is how many will be selected, and the answer for that is more than 1. I haven’t set a number since that will restrict my options, so following Tsunku’s model I decided to just keep that open and focus on the most important things, how well the auditioners do.
The 2nd round of the auditions is currently underway and we should have the new members of the H!SN family announced by next week, so I hope everyone is eager to find out who they are!
Site: Quickly I wanted to mention that I finally have internet at my apartment (since a few days ago) so please expect to see more posts from me in the coming days. I’m very sorry for the delay but it took a lot of time to get it fixed and in the end it was a simple mistake from my internet providers part and it was quickly resolved (basically they gave me the equipment but didn’t enable the service, and it took multiple calls and headaches to finally get it solved).
Also, we finally managed to reach 3,000 posts!
It’s hard to imagine that it’s been that long since the site was first started, but it’s all thanks to your support. Thanks to Ayuchii and ladylibra92 for helping out to reach this goal since I haven’t been able to post that regularly thanks to my internet troubles. I look forward to the 4,000th post and the 5,000th post, which should come soon at the rate we are going.
I will start finishing up the updates I have placed on hold and they should be done very quickly so please look forward to them!
Social: 713 followers on Twitter and 665 fans on Facebook, and like every week a big thank you to everyone.
Early last week the site finally had it’s 3,000th tweet!
It has taken a while but I’m glad to see that we have passed that mark since it shows how much hard work it has taken to reach this point, mainly since most of those tweets are links to posts that usually take around 30 minutes to do (this post takes more at around 3 hours). It’s interesting to see that short 140 messages can reflect that much work, but like always it’s fun to talk about H!P with fans around the world and it’s rewarding to hear how happy they are to hear a song, see some pictures or read about their favorite groups.
Like I mentioned above I look forward to seeing the 4,000th post and tweet, as well as the 5,000th post and tweet, so like always thank you for your support!
With the new members of the H!SN team coming in next week we hope to make the Facebook page a large part of the site, so please check it out if you haven’t already.
Hopefully everyone is looking forward to the results of the audition, but for now thank you to everyone who follows the site, our Twitter account, as well as the Facebook page!
If you don’t have a Facebook account then don’t worry, the updates can be viewed without an account, so feel free to check it out.
Polls:

The winner for this poll was Fukuda Kanon with 416 votes (47%), congratulations Kanon! Kikkawa Yuu came in second with 234 votes (27%), and Satou Masaki came in third with 229 votes (26%).
There was a total of 879 votes for this poll.
Congratulations Kanon!
At a quick glance it’s easy to see that Kanon managed to win by quite a lot of votes compared to Kikka and Satou, and while she did get around half of the votes it’s interesting to see how the others did. Kikka and Satou were pretty much a few votes from being tied, which is surprising since Kikka has been an Egg and a solo artist for a while, compared to Satou who recently joined.
It might be due to Satou’s cute personality but it seems like she’s quickly becoming a fan favorite, and while Kikka has been in the spotlight for a while now it seems like they are around the same in terms of popularity at the time (at least for this site). Kanon is turning out to be the highest voted member from S/mileage, although that might soon change as the new members are steadily becoming more known.
Good luck to Kikka and Satou in their next polls, but for now congratulations to Kanon!
For the next poll it’s Sayashi Riho, Mitsui Aika, and Sugaya Risako, and as you can tell this will be a very interesting poll to follow since every member in it has a high chance of winning. It will be interesting to see what happens since every member has a large and solid following, and while Riho might have a slight advantage I look forward to finding out how the poll will turn out.
To make it easier for fans I will provide the direct link to the H!P poll HERE.
Please vote!
Shuukan Hello: It’s been a while since we last saw a Hello! Pro Time episode so I think it’s time to show off a few episodes before diving back into the more classic series.
Continuing from the episode where we left off we get to see Ai-chan and Mano go out to a Korean restaurant for food, as well as Nakky doing some exercises and Fukuda Kanon showing us her pet bunny. The main part of the episode is the casual conversation that Ai-chan and Mano have since they really seem to talk naturally and ask each other fun and interesting questions. It’s an interesting look into how they interact since we rarely get to see them go out for lunch and talk a bit.
I think it’s a great episode from the series and among my favorites since we get to find out a bit more from them both, as well as see how they react to the Korean food, but like always you’ll have to see it for yourself to know for sure so hopefully everyone enjoys it!
