It was recently found out that if the tracks from Berryz Koubou’s Ai no Album 8 and C-ute’s Dainana Shou “Utukushikutte Gomen ne” album Because Happiness and Shiawase no Tochuu are played at the same time they make a new song.
Tsunku admitted that he did it on purpose and he was going to reveal it at the Hello! Project Summer concert tour anyway.
Fans mixing two different songs isn’t something new since there are many interesting combinations that have been made from different group’s songs to make a new song, but this is probably the first time that Tsunku has done it on purpose. It’s a nice hint at the bonds that the groups have between each other and in my opinion it makes a much better song than the single they released together since it has a really nice and epic sound that many fans probably didn’t notice at first listen.
Individually the songs are a bit normal and don’t really stand out that much but upon hearing the mash up I can somewhat see where the empty spaces in the songs fit in, and I’m impressed that Tsunku managed to hide a full impressing song and divide it into two different songs between two groups without not many noticing since it went unnoticed for two months.
I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone is a bit more interested in the albums and tries to see if any more songs match up in the next album releases since it’s a clever way of getting more attention in albums that have already been released. That being said I really liked the match up of the song and I would gladly get a copy if it was released as a single since it has a really epic sound that matches up the great vocals from both groups.
Here are the two original versions of the songs, but I would recommend you listen to them first since listening to them afterwards makes them sound too empty:
