It was announced that the raw footage of Berryz Koubou Concert Tour 2012 ~Berryz Station~ would be available for purchase on a USB.
According to the official announcement it looks as though you have to reserve in advance and the USB will be available for pick up after the concert. This is the first time I’ve heard of the raw footage being released on USB so I’m curious how this will turn out. I know they did something similar for Ai-chan’s graduation concert but I believe that was released as an actual DVD and not on a USB. I also find it a bit surprising because this concert sounds like a regular concert, it’s not something like a graduation or anniversary concert so hearing them offer something like this is a bit strange. I like the idea of having the concert on a USB drive though. I have quite a few H!P merchandise and they take up a lot of space, so having something small would be much nicer and easier to organize
I hope though that releasing the raw footage on a USB drive won’t backfire on them. Since it’s on a USB it’s easier for fans to upload it on the internet. Once everyone has seen it, they might be reluctant to purchase the actual DVD, even if the DVD will be of better quality. . Hopefully that doesn’t happen and if this is a success I hope other groups will start having the raw concert footage available for purchase too.
The USB will be available for purchase at the 4/29 concert.
