Berryz Koubou have been selected to attend the annual Japan Festa held in Bagkok, Thailand.
As some might already know, H!P groups have been a part of the Japan Festa for 3 years now and each year, 3 or 4 artists/groups from H!P and UFA are chosen and put into a poll for Thailand fans to chose which one they’d like most to attend the event, and it seems that thanks to Berryz Koubou’s concert held in Thailand a couple of years ago, they have gained some notoriety there and were the ones chosen by fans to attend this year’s event too (the other selected groups were Morning Musume,C-ute and S/mileage).
When I see that Berryz have been chosen by fans over Morning Musume, it makes me extremely happy since this shows that they have many fans rooting for them outside Japan and in Thailand more specifically, and with such a big event held in Thailand, I’m more than excited for the girls that are definitely well-known there now and that are set to enjoy their time while also taking the opportunity to promote themselves more and their newest releases.
Even though they will only attend and perform a few songs, some guests get a little talk segment during the event as well as many other special opportunities for the ones who are attending such as autograph sessions or handshake sessions, so hopefully more details will be released for everyone who is planning on attending since it seems like Berryz Koubou are getting really popular abroad thanks to their regular performances in America and Thailand.
The event will be held on 8/25 for a meet and greet session and on 8/26 for a mini-concert.
