A short version MV for Kitahara Sayaka’s 4th single titled Natsu ga Yattekuru has been released.
We already saw a short preview of the MV a few days ago and for the most part the short version of the MV doesn’t really show much apart from what we already saw. Not much has changed and some of the additional shots just show us a few shots of her smiling as she walks on the beach, and while I didn’t like how they overemphasized the summer theme I did like how Sayaka looks and the use of the outdoors as a setting for the MV since it clearly showed what the single is about.
90% or more of the MV has the ocean in the background, and while I appreciate how they wanted to emphasize that the single is about summer it seems like they could have shown other fun activities she could have done, like her playing in a park. Apart from that I did like the use of shots they used since we get to see her smiling at the camera as wind blows through her hair, walking on the beach, and singing in various outfits and places around the beach, something which gave variety to the MV. This, along with the old styled filter they added to some shots made it a bit more nostalgic and will most likely appeal to those who grew up going to the beach each summer.
Overall it’s a great short version of the MV which gives us a great look at what to expect from the final release, and while we haven’t seen all of it we should get a full MV sometime soon.
The release date is set for 6/13.
