The radio preview for Berryz Koubou’s 29th single titled cha cha SING has been released.
It’s rare to see an H!P group cover a song from another country so naturally this single was among the most awaited and many were looking forward to the preview to see how it compared against the original. I have heard the original song and I liked it so I had high hopes for this song, and I’m happy to see that this song turned out so amazing since it conserves the original style of the song while adding that special “H!P” sound to it.
Compared to the original version of the song I can’t help but enjoy Berryz Koubou’s version a bit more. It might be the upbeat instrumental or the H!P sound it has but Berryz Koubou’s version sounds a bit catchier, which is most likely due to the techno styled instrumental along with the fun effects added which will most likely make it a concert favorite from now on.
This is just one part of the song so I look forward to finding out how the rest of the song will sound, and since the single will be released this month we probably won’t have to wait long. Apart from that the MV should be released in the coming weeks so it will be interesting to see what kind of theme they use since the song and the outfits have definitely raised my expectations.
