In 2010, Otsuka Aina was a Morning Musume ninth generation finalist, She made it to the final five before losing to Ikuta Erina, Sayashi Riho, and Suzuki Kanon.
She was first introduced at the Hello! Pro Egg Kakikyuuka Mae Special! ~Shinjin-san!? Irassha~i!~ event in July 2011.
- She auditioned for Morning Musume with °C-ute’s song “EVERYDAY Zekkouchou!!” during the 2010 9th Generation auditions. She made it to the final round, but was not chosen as a winner.
